GREEN CIRCUIT OF THE WALLS

This urban circuit, approximately three kilometres long, allows visitors to explore on foot some of the main elements of the walled complex of Tortosa.

This new urban circuit links several outstanding heritage elements of the city’s walled complex, such as the Orleans Fort, the Tarragona Gate, the Bonet Fort, the Sant Joan outworks and the Célio Tower. All these sites, listed as Cultural Assets of National Interest (BCIN) in Catalonia, allow visitors to discover the city’s historical and defensive evolution while enjoying a pleasant urban walk with cultural and scenic value.

This urban itinerary, almost three kilometres long, follows various streets and paths, including Esplanetes Street, the Rastre Ravine path, the ascent to the Parador, Plaça de la Immaculada, Jaume Tió i Noé Street, Major de Remolins Street and the Mur crossing, reaching the medieval Célio Tower and the former Torreta field.
