CIRCULAR ROUTE THROUGH THE WIND TURBINES AND THE DELTA
This circular route takes us through some of the most diverse landscapes around Tortosa, combining mountains, coastline and the natural areas of the Ebro Delta.
We will leave Tortosa and begin the climb towards Coll de l’Alba, gradually gaining altitude as we enter a mountain landscape with sweeping views over the surrounding area. From there, we will continue towards the Bítem wind turbines, one of the highest points on the route, offering wide-ranging views over the Ebro Valley and the surrounding hills.
From this point, we will begin a long descent towards Torre de Fullola, leaving the higher ground behind and gradually approaching the coast. The route then continues to l’Ampolla, where the scenery changes completely, giving way to Mediterranean landscapes and the natural environments associated with the Ebro Delta.
From the coast, we will begin the return journey to Tortosa, crossing open, flat landscapes that contrast with the climbs of the first part of the route.
At around 62 km in length and with more than 1,000 metres of elevation gain, this is a long and varied route designed for cyclists who are used to demanding distances and climbs. A complete ride that showcases, in a single route, the landscape diversity connecting Tortosa, the surrounding mountains and the Ebro Delta.
