Convent of Saint John
Convent of Saint John
Saint John’s Square. The site takes its name from the former female convent of the Order of Saint John of the Hospital, popularly known as the Monastery of La Ràpita, as it was originally located in that Delta town. Despite the significant alterations the building has undergone, the old cloister and the magnificent stone portal, decorated with rocaille motifs typical of 18th-century architecture, are particularly noteworthy.
