VAL DE ZAFÁN GREENWAY (VIA VERDA)

VAL DE ZAFÁN GREENWAY (VIA VERDA)

#VALUE!

On foot, by bicycle or on horseback. These are the only three ways to travel along the Greenway linking Alcañiz and Tortosa. People of all ages and fitness levels can enjoy at least part of this exceptional route, which has become a true corridor of nature and relaxation.

The Val de Zafán Greenway follows the route of a former railway line that has been converted into a greenway. The route begins in Alcañiz and passes through Valderrobres before reaching Lledó, a town on the border with Catalonia. From there it continues through Arnes, Horta de Sant Joan, Bot, Prat de Comte and El Pinell de Brai, in the Terra Alta region. It then enters the Baix Ebre region, passing through Benifallet, Xerta, Aldover, Jesús and Roquetes before arriving in Tortosa.

Today, the Greenways network has also been extended south of Tortosa, allowing visitors to continue the route to Vinallop, Amposta and La Ràpita. This extension connects the inland areas with the Ebro Delta and the Mediterranean coast, offering new routes to discover river landscapes, rice fields and the natural spaces of the lower Ebro.
